Her Story:

For those of you who don't know me well, here's your chance to see who's becoming a part of your family. :-) I am originally from Ariton, Alabama, born in Columbus, Georgia, and spent seven years in Germany, which was an amazing cultural and learning experience. As a lot of you already know, I recently completed my Associates degree in Business Administration and am currently a Junior, working on my Bachelors degree in Healthcare Management, with the hopes of securing a position as a clinical director within a hospital or at a private facility. I will graduate with that December 15, 2007! I have a son, Tyler, who turned six years old in March, and who has taken a tremendous liking to the idea of mine and Billy's marriage to each other. Yay! I look forward to getting to know more of Billy's side of the family, and to him getting to know more of mine, as we spread our wings and fly as one through the days.

His Story:

For those of you who don't know me well, I'd like to share a bit of information about myself.  I am originially from Phoenix, Arizona, but with my father being in the Navy throughout my childhood and adolescent years, I traveled some and lived in California as well, before finally landing in Maryland, where I met Erin. I am currently a correctional officer for the state of Maryland, and work in a pre-release unit in Charles County.  Once Erin finishes her college, I plan on returning to college to finish my degree in Criminal Justice.

Our Story:

Our relationship is living proof that people who meet online can end up spending the rest of their lives together. We met online in the winter of 2005.  When we met for the first time in person, we clicked so well, and a bond was instantly created.  Over the days and weeks, we saw a lot of each other and got to know each other a lot better, as though we had known each other for years.  We became an "official" couple 7 January 2006. Two weeks later, we knew things would be perfect. Though such a short time, we really connected and there was more than just the "girlfriend/boyfriend" friendship and connection between the two of us, and we decided to get an apartment together - the two of us and my son.  December 25, 2006, at Billy's parents' house, his brother Charlie sent me on a scavenger hunt for the "last part" of my gift from him.  The final place I was to look was on the front porch. As I opened the door, there was Billy, on one knee, with the ring box in his hand, shaking from nervousness (it was so cute!).  He told me how we've made it so well through good times and bad in the last year, how much he loves me, and he wants to spend the rest of his life with me.  Then he asked me to marry him! Of course, I said YES! What an amazing and romantic man he is!!
